Dental Plans Direct has done a superb job of letting you compare dental plans (as well as a few vision, prescription and health benefit plans) at a glance. You can get a brief overview of plans (categorized under "Individual and Family" as well as "Business and Group") to get a sense of what each offers. However, the best way to look is to click on the "Compare Plans" and enter your zip code. Hit "Compare Plans" again, and youll see a chart comparing benefits, costs and features of each plan wow! 10 seconds and you get a great overview.
In addition to that, each plan gets its own page. Each page is relatively simple, yet so well thought out you can get all the information you need quickly. Each plan page will give you a list of 10 or so dentists that participate in that plan, are close to you (so you can see how far you would have to drive for each plan), a list of standard procedures (like "Silver Filling", "Adult Cleaning" or "Checkup") and the cost to you under the plan and your savings. That really cuts through the difficulty of having to figure out the details of each plan and gives you a quick view of what your actual out of pocket costs are likely to be. You can also get a list of all the dentists in your area participating in the plan (click the "View Dentists" button", and a detailed description of the plans policies. Quick easy form after that, and youre done. Dental Plans Direct is just a superb easy to use resource.
