Netflix online DVD rental service let's you rent DVD online rather than visiting your local video store. Rather than paying for each DVD that you rent, an online rental service charges you a flat monthly fee. You can have a certain number of DVDs (depending on what what monthly fee you pay) out at any time (3 is a common beginning level). Unlike renting from a store, there are no due dates for a service like this. Instead, you can keep each DVD as long as you want, but you are limited to the number of DVDs allowed by your membership. The DVDs are sent to you by mail along with a prepaid return envelope that you simply place the DVD in when you are done, and drop in the mail for return to Netflix. With over 12,000 titles in their catalogue, there are far more titles than any local video store can possibly carry. Great for DVD lovers, people who live far from a large video store, or families with young children.
